One EP in eleven years doesn't suggest a great deal of productivity with Kevin Peroni's solo career. Yet at least these four songs for his Wiretree project give enough indications that his next release should be one to look forward to; preferably sooner rather than later. 'EP' is a highly respectable set of songs which explore 70's power pop and new wave music (The Cars are cited as a major influence). 'Give It Up' showcases Peroni's angrier, more intense side whilst 'Down The Way I Walk' is more settled and wistful. The digitised vocals on 'Make Things Happen' suggests ELO on a budget and finally 'Find A Way' appears to be cut from the same cloth as The Travelling Wilburys. All told, a belated but very useful start for Peroni.
