Elecribe 101 were a pop-dance group who enjoyed a brief spell of chart success in the late 80's and early 90's with 'Talking With Myself' and 'Tell Me When The Fever Ended'. Unlike most dance bands around that time, the music on offer here has aged surprisingly well possibly because the dance beats are more understated and also because singer Billie Ray Martin possessed more than just a run-of-the-mill voice. Her vocal acrobatics are used to very good effect on 'You're Walking' although most of the time her voice is more restrained and sounds more like Rosie Gaines of 'Closer than Close' fame. The cover of Odyssey's 'Inside Out' is respectful and interesting and the aforementioned singles also demonstrate that it was sad for us to lose them after such a promising start.
