As Medal come from Oxford it is not surprising to note they will be compared to fellow inhabitants Radiohead. This album certainly incorporates their sound; the vocals are mournful in a Thom Yorke way and there is a tangible air of misery throughout. Despite the impressive Radiohead pastiche at the beginning though ('Is Your Soul In Your Head'), Medal don't really offer anything new to this world and seemed destined for footnote status in the music world. In fact, to sum up, this album is really quite dull.
