Beginning their career on the Cherry Red imprint in the late 80s, the Hepburns have continued to produce a quintessentially British style of 60s pop. Even taking into account a long hiatus in the 1990s they have maintained a loyal following, particularly in Japan (in appreciation of this, the sleevenotes are faithfully translated for a Japanese audience). Amongst the bossanova rhythms and swinging 60s atmospheres lay tales of hairstyles, fashion, satellite shopping channels and boxing. With relaxed easy listening-style arrangements, it's easy to get immersed in the album during a pleasant afternoon but it's also heartening to learn that this kind of music is still being produced nowadays, regardless of today's hip and trendy indie acts.
