Like brother James (AKA Mole Harness), Jonathan Brewster is a gifted guitarist with a penchant for drone and electronica. His work under the name of Jasper Leyland is more challenging than his sibling's; given its deviation from normal melody and a taste for minimalism, field recordings and experimentation. His second release is a typically textured and evocative affair.

On the lengthy centrepiece 'Shallowflight', guitar strings are plucked and then cut short as a pleasant drone washes over a plethora of lively nature sounds, pretty chimes surround the elegant, shimmering 'Harefen' whilst the title track brings proceedings to a mysterious, beguiling denouement. Though it won't be exciting enough for some, 'Fieldstone' is undeniably atmospheric and just the tonic for those requiring a relaxing yet ultimately intelligent listening experience.
