Time To Fight

Album Reviews
Dead Next Door are a promising young act from London. Led by virtuoso singer/guitarist Andreas Marian, their music comes from the crossroads between gothic rock and emo. Sensibly they have stuck their best songs at the beginning of their EP. 'Time To Fight' and 'Twenty Seven' reveal the twin gifts of writing infectious choruses helped along by guitar riffs which swing from side to side. Of the remaining songs, 'Sense Of Place' impresses most for its Interpol-style momentum although it could do with a stronger chorus to match the verses. With time on their side and a bit of luck, Dead Next Door are almost equipped to find success beyond their local scene.
